Snack inspiration: Protein cookies

ProteincookiesBecause of my strength training I need a lot of protein. I find it difficult to eat enough protein without using protein powders. Unfortunately I’m allergic for most of the protein powders so I find to find other ways to eat enough protein. And what sounds better than protein cookies? I found this recipe on the Dutch website Get out of your fatsuit and I have to say, it makes eating protein not only easier but also more delicious!

Chocolate protein cookies
For these cookies I used 99% cocoa chocolate but you can use every chocolate you prefer above 77% cocoa. The combination of chickpeas and chocolate is surprisingly good!

This is what you need for 10 cookies:
– 1 can chickpeas (400 grams)
– 2 spoons peanut butter
– 1 small banana
– 1 spoon spelt flour
– 80 ml almond milk
– a pieces of dark chocolate

ChocolateproteincookiesPre head the oven for 200 degrees. Mix all the ingredients, except the chocolate, in a kitchen machine. At the chocolate to the dough. Use a spoon the place the dough on the baking paper and make 10 nice cookies. Bake the cookies for 15 minuten. When they are finished, wait until the cookies are cold. When they are cold they are a bit harder en nicer to eat.

Blue berry protein cookies
This recipe is not very surprising but the blue berries make these cookies delicious. You prepare these cookies simelar to the first cookies, simple and fast.

This is what you need for 10 cookies:
– 180 grams oat flour (mix oat in a kitchen machine until it becomes flour)
– 3 spoons yogurt
– 2 egg whites
– 1 spoon honey
– 1 spoon spelt flour
– 1 spoon cinnamon
– a bit of salt
– blue berries

Pre head the oven for 200 degrees. Mix everything in a kitchen machine except the blue berries. Add the blue berries to the dough. Use a spoon the place the dough on baking paper and make nice cookies. Bake the cookies for 13 minutes.

You can eat those cookies without any quilt. Enjoy!

With love, from Dublin..
