Kale Green Smoothie Inspiration and the benefits of Kale

kale smoothieSometimes it is really hard to eat enough vegetables during the day. When I made this smoothie I had a day like that. I was busy and not in the mood to cook a lot of food. I believe that you need to eat enough vegetables everyday to enjoy the benefits. That’s why smoothies are the perfect solutions to add to your meal on days like this. This smoothie contains a high amount of kale which is one of the cheapest super foods and one of the most healthy vegetables available world wide.

Kale contains a high amount of vitamins like vitamin A, C, K, iron and potassium. And kale is a good source of fibers. A special benefit of kale is, it protects to body against acidification. A lot of people eat sophisticated sugars which you can find for example in bread, meat and dairy. Sophisticated sugars lead to acidification and this makes you tired, it leads to sore muscles, insomnia and depressions. Reason enough to eat kale very often!

This is what you need for this Kale Green Smoothie
– 150 grams of kale
– 1 avocado
– 1 apple
– 1 glass of water
– 2 spoons of hemp seeds

Put the water and the kale in a blender and mix everything. Add the apple and the avocado and mix everything again. Add the hemp seeds and if you prefer a bit of water and mix everything again. After this it is time to enjoy your kale smoothie!

  1. For some reason hemp seeds go great with Kale. I think hemp seed protein powder works great in Smoothies made with Kale. I use them in all my smoothies. Thanks for taking the time to post.
