This is why I love an early morning work out

morning work outI love an early morning work out. I’m not a huge fan of my alarm at 6 am but that’s definitely the only thing I don’t like about my morning runs. I love the feeling of being outside in the early morning when everybody is still a sleep. It is quiet, peaceful and I can run without taking care of cars, people on bicycles or dogs running around. I don’t feel the pressure of work out in the evening because I already did my work out and I feel fit during the day. The mornings are a great moment to do you work out.

A morning work out helps you to burn fat
Yes this is true, when you work out in the morning you activate your metabolism. This means that you burn fat during the day. When you work out in the evening you activate your metabolism and you burn fat during the night. This is good but you eat during the day. This means that you have more benefit of activating your metabolism in the morning.

A morning work out gives you mental energy
When you work out in the morning you feel fit during the day. You feel happy because of the work out you did and you have more energy. Some people feel a stronger motivation to eat healthy and clean because of the early morning work out.

Mornings are quiet
If you go to the gym, you go for a run or you do a work out at home in the morning nobody will disturb you. Everybody is still a sleep. No phone calls, emails or whatsapp messages. You can focus on your work out.

You have the evening free
When you finish your work out in the morning you have the evening free. I use my free evenings to cook healthy meals, to blog, to call with my mom or to watch a movie. These are all things that I can’t do in the mornings. Reason enough for me to wake up a bit earlier.

If you’re planning a early morning work out it is good to prepare the night before. Prepare your breakfast in the evening. Select your sport outfit and the outfit that you want to wear during your work day. Be sure that you don’t have to search for things in the morning, this costs a lot of time. Check the weather for the week and pick a morning when it is dry. Rain makes a early morning work out harder to do.

Are you planning a early morning work out?

  1. I only train early mornings — for many of the same reasons you do. I just find that it’s so good to get it that early morning energy boost. Also, it cuts out the excuses! There is no “Oh, I’m so tired, I’ll train tomorrow” stuff.
